Speaker Profile and Biography Overview
Adj A/Prof Florence Cheong is Senior Principal Occupational Therapist and Head of Allied Health in Population Health at NHG Health. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from St Loye’s School of Exeter in 1998, and holds master’s degrees in Health Science Management (2005) and Gerontology (2023). Since 2006, Florence has led Singapore’s driving assessment initiatives for elderly vocational drivers and persons with disabilities, collaborating with national authorities to shape inclusive transport policies. She served on the Allied Health Professions Council (2013–2019), co‑chairs MOH’s Occupational Therapy Panel, and is currently Singapore’s Delegate to WFOT. As a long serving ex-President of SAOT for 10 years, Florence has been awarded the SAOT Inspiring OT Award in 2019. A lifelong learner, Florence was awarded the SkillsFuture Fellowship (2020). She teaches at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
